Testing the Artist in Me with Fluid Paint Pouring!

So I have watched a hundred YouTube videos on the "How To's" of Acrylic Paint Pouring.

I am amazed at the colorful and stunning works of art I have seen from this unique art form. So much, that I have jumped right in and gave it a try myself.

I've studied straight pours, dirty pours, tree ring pours, swipes, etc.

I've realized this is more than just painting. You have to select a pouring medium to make your paints flow easily ...Floetrol, Liquitex, PVA glue or regular old Elmers Glue All.

Of course I want those AMAZING "Cells" that all those YouTubers created, so I had to study up on cell creation. They suggest using a few drops of silicone  in each of your paints.

Some of the strange things people use are WD40, Treadmill lubricant, Coconut Hair Serum, or "KY Jelly True Feel"(Yep, thats personal lubricant).

I gathered all my cups, popsicle sticks, disposable gloves, colorful paints, metallic paints, canvases, protective plastic, paper towels,glitter.... and I went to battle!

Supplies You Need to Get Started With Acrylic Pouring for Beginners

This is my First Masterpiece! I LOVE it! Not sure what I'll name it yet! The pictures do not do my paintings justice!

The one below wasn't my next one, but it's another favorite! I had fun with this one!

I call it "Waves Meet the Shore"

It reminds me of an amazing trip to the beach I took with my son and his family a few years back!

And these are a few more... Not all are amazing and awesome but I had a blast doing them! Will eventually varnish.  I see this as abstract art! So relaxing and fulfilling!

As I venture further into this amazing art, I'll share my completed projects! See you then!
